The SocSc+ Soka University Outbound Program was successfully conducted, involving Dr. Nur Hafeeza Ahmad Pazil, Dr. ‘Afifah Idris and four students from the School of Social Sciences. The programme included academic visits to several universities in Tokyo, Japan, alongside engagement sessions with Malaysian and Muslim international students to explore Muslim-friendly practices and mental health issues among students. 


The delegation also delivered a presentation at the Diversity and Inclusion Promotion Centre, Soka University, aimed at enhancing awareness of the needs of international and Muslim students in their daily campus experiences, contributing to more inclusive university environments.

📰 USM Kung Fu Academy Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary with a Kung Fu Night, 

Inviting Martial Arts Heroes to Participate

Summary:


University life does not have to be limited to books. Students can also pursue both academic and martial development.


Since its establishment, the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Kung Fu Society has remained committed to nurturing Chinese martial arts culture on campus. This year marks its 50th anniversary, and the society will hold its “Legacy in One Lineage” Kung Fu Night on 10 May at Dewan Tuanku Syed Putra (DTSP), USM Main Campus.


The event will feature performances from five major divisions under the USM Kung Fu Society — the Dragon Team, Drum Team, Shaolin Team, Martial Arts Team and Tai Chi Team. Through diverse forms of performance, the event aims to showcase the spirit and charm of Chinese martial arts, marking this half-century milestone with brilliance.
