USM celebrates 62nd convocation ceremony tomorrow

 SUNGAI DUA, 18 Nov- Yang Dipertua Negeri, Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak will lead the list of Honorary Degree recipients, in the 62nd Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Convocation ceremony which will begin tomorrow.

Its vice-chancellor, Professor Datuk Seri Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohamed said, through this, Tun Ahmad Fauzi will be awarded an Honorary Doctorate in International Relations as an appreciation for his service and great contribution to the country.

He said, " A total of 8971 graduates will receive their respective degrees including two recipients of honorary degrees and two recipients of emeritus professional title awards".

He added that Tan Sri Datuk Seri Jamaludin Ibrahim, will also be conferred an Honorary Doctorate of Management.

It is in recognition of his extraordinary contribution to digital transformation and telecommunications around the world as well as the growth of the country's public transport sector.

The first session will be chaired by the Raja of Perlis and USM Chancellor, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail.

The convocation will last for eight days.
