Research Training & Cultural Immersion

Throughout the programme, participants will attend lectures delivered by INFORMM researchers and gain hands-on laboratory experience through the Early Scientist Explorer (ESE) Programme. Under the guidance of INFORMM researchers and postgraduate students, participants will learn essential molecular biology techniques, including DNA extraction, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and molecular imaging.

Cultural and academic engagement in Penang

Beyond the lecture hall and laboratory, participants will experience Malaysia's rich cultural heritage through traditional activities, community engagement programmes and visits to iconic attractions in Penang, including George Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These experiences are designed to foster international friendship, cultural appreciation, and meaningful academic collaboration.

Strengthening Academic Partnerships

INFORMM is honoured to host this programme and is looking forward to providing an inspiring learning environment while further strengthening its partnerships with collaborating institutions in China. The Institute wishes all participants a rewarding, memorable and enjoyable stay at Universiti Sains Malaysia and in Penang.
