USM RECEIVES ACADEMIC VISIT FROM UNIVERSITAS AL-AZHAR INDONESIA.

NIBONG TEBAL, 18 August 2026 – The Engineering Campus of Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin (KKTSS), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), through the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (PPKEE), today received an academic visit from Universitas Al-Azhar, Indonesia.

The visit was held to foster closer ties between the two institutions, while also exploring opportunities for academic and research collaboration.

The delegation comprised Associate Professor Dr. Ir. Mawardi from the Mechanical Engineering Department and Associate Professor Yoga Tri Nugraga from the Electronic Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Al-Azhar.

The arrival of both representatives from Universitas Al-Azhar was welcomed by the Deputy Dean of Academic, Career and International, PPKEE, Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Rosmiwati Mohd Mokhtar, alongside the Deputy Dean of Research, Innovation and Industry-Community Engagement, Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Nasiruddin Mahyuddin, as well as Program Chairpersons.

During the visit, both parties exchanged information regarding academic program management and curriculum design. The delegation was also taken on a tour to inspect the laboratories and facilities available at PPKEE.

This visit provided a valuable platform for both institutions to exchange views and share experiences, thereby further strengthening the relationship between USM and Universitas Al-Azhar.
