USM PENANG, 3 October 2023 - Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) continues to gain recognition in the context of promoting, exploring and sharing of best practices in areas of teaching and learning, more specifically in offering online instructions.

The International University Carnival on E-Learning (IUCEL) 2023 from 25-26 September, which is also held in support of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), has seen the participants from USM succeeding with the medals won.

On the closing day IUCEL 2023, USM was announced as the recipient of Invention, Innovation & Design on e-Learning (IIDEL) Competition category in IUCEL, with a total of 19 winning entries comprising of 8 Gold, 4 Silver and 7 Bronze medals respectively.

The e-learning carnival themed "Empowering Society through Education 5.0" has attracted many experts and researchers in the field of teaching and learning from within and outside the country.

Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) was chosen to host this edition of IUCEL.
