PENANG, 17 February 2023 – The Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Professor Dato’ Ir. Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohamed today paid a courtesy visit to the Yang di-Pertua Negeri (Governor) of Penang, Tuan Yang Terutama (TYT) Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi bin Haji Abdul Razak at his official residence in Seri Mutiara.

In the meeting which took place for about an hour, a number of issues were discussed regarding the latest developments in USM and various cooperation that could materialise which can positively impact Penang.

Also in attendance representing USM was the Chairman of the USM Board of Governors, Dato' Seri Dr. Awang Adek Hussin.

This will be the first visit by the USM Vice-Chancellor to the TYT of Penang following his appointment as the Vice-Chancellor in January this year.

The USM delegation would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to TYT Tun for holding the formal reception for the USM delegation, and USM foresees maintaining closer ties and cooperation with the state government of Penang.
