USM AND UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW TO ESTABLISH JOINT POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
PENANG, 6 Sept 2017 – Delegates from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom recently visited Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in Penang, with the intent of expanding the strategic collaboration between both parties.
USM Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr. Asma Ismail welcomed the delegates and the idea of having greater collaborations in various areas of interests.
Among the areas that will see the collaboration are in the offerings of the Ph.D of Indigenous Language and English Language, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Public Administration (MPA).
USM and University of Glasgow will be offering a double degree MBA programme, which will run for one year at USM and another year at Glasgow.
University of Glasgow was represented by the Delegation Head, Vice-Principal of Academic & Educational Innovation, Professor Frank Coton, together with four other members from various fields at the university.
The discussion mainly focused on strengthening collaborations and enhancing programmes that will mutually benefit both institutions in the near future.
