USM, PENANG, 14 April 2017 – The Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International), Professor Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah received a courtesy visit from the Embassy of The People's Bureau of The Republic of Libya, today at the USM International Mobility and Collaboration Centre (IMCC).

The delegates consisted of the Deputy Academic Attache of Student Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Hamammu and Deputy Academic Attache, Dr. Abdulmajid H. Mohamed.

Several matters of interest were discussed; among them were recommendations to help strengthen the visa process involved in bringing Libyan students to study in Malaysia, and other potential academic collaborations.

Ibrahim said the Libyan Embassy is trying their best to attract more Libyan students to come to Malaysia to further their studies at the undergraduate and postgraduate level in public universities such as USM.  

Also present were officers from the USM Institute of Postgraduate Studies (IPS) and IMCC.
