KARNATAKA, INDIA, 18 November 2016 - The Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Professor Datuk Dr. Asma Ismail yesterday held discussions with the Director of the USM-KLE International Medical Programme, Dr. H.B. Rajasekhar as part of her official educational visit to India.

Various issues relating to the direction of the USM-KLE offshore campus were discussed in the meeting, along with the potential to offer Dentistry courses at the campus.

Apart from that, the discussion on the possibility of acquiring more students (under sponsorships) to pursue their studies at USM-KLE was also held.

In addition, the Vice-Chancellor also had a session to deliver her address to the students of USM-KLE.

Also present was Professor Dr. Kamarudin Jaalam, where he provided an overview of the programme offered by USM-KLE.

Following the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor then met with Muhamad Ridzuan Jamian, the USM-KLE Students’ Representative Council (MPP), and presented him with the certificate of appointment.  

The USM delegates were also treated to performances by the USM-KLE students.
