PENANG, December 2015 – A Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) lecturer Dr. Mehran Nejati Ajibisheh did USM proud when he won the Best Reviewer Award in ANZMAC 2015 from the Australian and New Zealand Marketing Academy.

Mehran said, this award recognises the high quality peer review for the ANZMAC 2015 Conference that was hosted by University of New South Wales Business School, in Sydney, Australia recently.

“I hope this award will raise USM flag even higher and showcase the high caliber and quality of academicians and researchers from our university in global academic arena,” said Mehran.

Apart from his contributions as a paper reviewer, Mehran has demonstrated potential to publish in highly ranked journals as evidenced by more than 30 papers that he had published in business and management disciplines, indexed by Scopus and ISI.

He is also the co-editor of the book titled “Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability: Contemporary Perspectives” published by PEARSON.

Mehran now serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Graduate School of Business, USM and his academic qualifications include a PhD in Management, MBA, and Bachelor of Industrial Engineering.

He was a recipient of the prestigious Vice-Chancellor Award from 2010 until 2012, which is a merit-based scholarship obtained by less than 0.5 percent of postgraduate students and upon completion of PhD, he was offered a one-year Postdoctoral research position, focusing on sustainability and social responsibility, which he successfully completed in 2014.

Mehran concluded that he is committed to share his insights and expertise with students and fellow scholars to ensure a more educated next generation and a better tomorrow.

Mehran also recently won three awards during the Graduate School of Business USM Annual Luncheon and Award Presentation - the Rising Star Award, Outstanding Publication Award and Innovation Award.
