USM PENANG, 8 February 2023 – The Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) School of Communication will be organising an open casting session for a Video Project, directed by renowned film director Mohd Ghazali Abu Bakar.

Mohd Ghazali Abu Bakar, born on 6 December 1974 is a Malaysian film, television and music video director. He has also served as lecturer at the Faculty of Creative Multimedia, Multimedia University (MMU), Cyberjaya for 7 years.

Among the films he has directed are Hantu Kapcai (2012) Cicakman 3 (2015), Polis Evo (2015), Baby Bro (2017) with his latest work being a drama series Hilang (2022) on the Viu application.

The session will be held on the 14th February 2023, to look for actors and actresses from a wide array of backgrounds and characteristics, and with a talent in acting.

The Project Director, Dzulfikar Azmi Muhamad Aripin@Isa urges all USM communities to come to this audition session and show your acting capabilities and stand a chance to work with one of the best film directors in Malaysia.

The criteria required for Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) students or non-USM students are:
19 -22-year old, males and females of different races and nationalities, and USM staff or non-USM staff; and those 50 - 60 years of age and of various nationalities, are also encouraged.

Everyone is invited to attend the audition, which is as follows:

Time: 2.00pm - 4.00pm
Venue: D13 Photography Studio, School of Communication.
