USM PENANG, 16 December 2022 – Professor Dato’ Gs. Dr. Narimah Samat, who is exercising the function of the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Vice-Chancellor, today welcomed delegates from Ajman University, UAE who arrived for a courtesy visit at the Chancellory Conference Room (CCR) here at USM.

The aim of the visit is to provide insights into potential collaborations with USM in areas of research, academic programmes, mobility programmes, sustainability and other possible areas.

Narimah gave an overview of the university profile and achievements, and said that USM has always prioritised the growth of science and technology and sustainability-related matters, and USM is also keen on bringing experts from industries for future research development.

Among other items discussed were the potential partnership in industries, education, economy and other initiatives.

Also present were the Ajman University Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Professor Khaled Assaleh; Ajman University Executive Director of Office of Institutional Planning and Effectiveness, Professor Mustahsan Mir; Ajman University Dean of College of Humanities and Sciences, Professor Shaher Momani; USM Dean, Institute of Postgraduate Studies (IPS), Professor Dr. Azlan Abdul Aziz; USM Dean, School of Humanities, Associate Professor Dr. Jasni Sulong; Internationalisation Strategic Coordinator, Professor Hazizan Md Akil and principal officers of the university.
