USM PENANG, 17 Nov. 2022 – Professor Dato’ Gs. Dr. Narimah Samat, who is Exercising the Function of the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Vice-Chancellor, today received a follow-up courtesy visit from the Academic Attaché, Embassy of Libya in Malaysia, Dr. Aiman Elmahmodi.

The aim of this second visit was to further discuss on issues relating to the Libyan student affairs, which included the student’s welfare, problems in issuing student visas and students’ scholarship and admission.

Among other items discussed were the potential collaboration of academic programmes between USM and some public universities in Libya, in the form of offshore programmes, research and innovation, mobility programmes, and other initiatives.

Also present were the Assistant Academic Attaché, Dr. Mohamed A.M. Ahssi; Advisor of the Academic Attaché, Waty Mansor; International Strategic Coordinator, Professor Dr. Hazizan Md Akil; Director of USM Strategic Corporate Development Office, Muhammad Sabri Said; Senior Deputy Registrar of USM Academic Management Division, Ramli Osman; Director of USM International Mobility and Collaboration Centre (IMCC), Aizat Hisham Ahmad; the Dean of Institute Postgraduate Studies (IPS), Professor Dr. Azlan Abdul Aziz; and Deputy Bursar, Wan Mazlan Wan Ab Rahman.
