The interdisciplinary meeting served as the best platform for budding young scientists, who are the country's pioneers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), to build a network with the best scientists at the international level.

They had the privilege to meet Nobel recipients from various science disciplines and share their research work with other young scientists, which in turn may open up opportunities for them to link up with this emerging generation of leading scientists and researchers in world-class research centres and laboratories.

This year’s 71st Nobel meeting was dedicated to the field of chemistry.

Some 35 Nobel Prize winners participated in the meeting, where they presented their research, as well as shared their experiences and career background with other selected young scientists.

The nomination of the Malaysian representatives for the Nobel Meeting is open to all young scientists from public and private institutions of higher learning nationwide. In order to participate in the meeting, they must pass a multi-step application and selection process.
