STRENGTHENING BILATERAL RELATIONS WITH NEW ZEALAND
USM PENANG, 28 June 2022 – USM Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic and International, Professor Dato’ Gs. Dr. Narimah Samat today received a courtesy visit from the New Zealand High Commissioner to Malaysia, Her Excellency Pam Dunn at the Chancellory Conference Room, here.
The aim of the visit is to provide insights into the collaboration with USM in academic fields such as online short courses and the Erasmus Plus Grant, mobility programmes (exchange students and academic staff) and other possible joint programmes connecting both New Zealand and Malaysia.
Narimah is optimistic that this cooperation will further strengthen the bilateral relations between USM and New Zealand.
Also present were the Policy and Public Affairs Adviser, Zhong Yan Tan; Regional Director, Asia (Excluding China), Ben Burrowes; Portfolio Director, Desiree Lee; Acting Market Manager, Indonesia and Malaysia Education New Zealand, Naluri Bella Wati; Dean School of Computer Sciences, Professor Dato’ Dr. Bahari Belaton; and Director of USM International Mobility and Collaboration Centre (IMCC), Aizat Hisham Ahmad.
