LET’S MAKE TIME FOR PROGRAMMES THROUGHOUT RAMADAN AT THE USM ISLAMIC CENTRE
USM PENANG, 3 April 2022 – “Let us together welcome Ramadan Al-Mubarak, the holy month for all Muslims, as we wish for continued blessings from Allah S.W.T throughout the month.”
That was said by the Head of the Ramadan Main Committee, who is also the Deputy Director of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Islamic Centre, Ustaz Zayd Zhari at the first ‘tarawih’ prayers held at Masjid Al Malik Khalid USM, which saw the attendance of many members of the congregation.
According to Zayd in his reminder for Ramadan, the USM Islamic Centre is also inviting all Muslims, campus community members and ‘qaryah’ community to join in the programmes which have been outlined by the Centre throughout the month.
“Among the programmes outlined, one is the ‘tadarus Al-Quran’ programme which will be held daily online.
“Information and further details on the ‘tadarus’ as well as other programmes planned throughout the month of Ramadan can be obtained from the USM Islamic Centre official social media sites, namely Facebook, Instagram and Telegram,” he added.
“During Ramadan this time around, the USM Islamic Centre will be offering meals for breaking of fast, and for those who would like to pick up the ‘bubur lambuk’ (porridge), they are advised to bring their own container after ‘asar’ prayers, every Tuesday and Wednesday in the first until the third week,” he continued.
In addition, for all Muslims who would like to contribute to the ‘iftar’ (breaking of fast) fund, they can do so via the account shown below:

In view of the relaxed regulations enjoyed within this month of Ramadan, Zayd is also reminding members of the congregation to continue abiding the SOPs set by the Penang State Islamic Religious Affairs Department to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all members of the congregation.
