USM PENANG, 31 March 2022 - Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) today has signed an agreement (MoA) with Permodalan Kedah Berhad (PKB).

According to USM Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Dr. Faisal Rafiq Mahamd Adikan, the agreement is for the development of both the Gerbang Kejuruteraan and a new Desasiswa (student residence hall) at the USM Engineering Campus.

“These will take two years to complete, and in shaa Allah, with ZERO financial outlay from the University,” he said.

Permodalan Kedah Berhad was lead by their Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abdul Rahman Haji Din.

Faisal Rafiq also thanked those who have made this possible for the University.
