USM, PENANG, 21 March 2018 – Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) recently received a visit by the delegation from Rattana Bundit University (RBU), Thailand led by the Vice President, Associate Professor Dr. Supawadee Chuangchot.

The visit focused on collaboration efforts between both universities, in areas such as academics, student mobility, administration and governance.

Director of the USM International Mobility and Collaboration Centre (IMCC), Dr. Muhizam Mustafa chaired the discussion held as part of the visit.

According to Muhizam, USM is fully committed towards regional and global collaboration efforts that would benefit all the parties and contribute to the internationalisation initiative of the university.

The 38-member delegation then proceeded to selected Academic Schools for a tour and further discussions. The 13 administrative staff and 25 Heads of Undergraduate Programmes from RBU visited the USM School of the Arts, School of Management, School of Communication, School of Computer Sciences and School of Educational Studies.

Established in 1997, Rattana Bundit University is a privately-run higher education institution with a campus in Bangkok and offering study programmes at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
