EATING ON CAMPUS: WHERE TO GO?

Looking for a place to eat, but too lazy to roam around Penang, the "Food Heaven" for a food hunt? Don’t ever miss out on these eateries in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Good food, good price.

1. Kapit’s – If you’re looking for an Instagrammable place to hangout, Kapit’s is the go-to café. Perfect lighting, dope designs, and not to mention it is owned by one of the USM student alumni.

2. Chico’s – Known among USM students for its delicious western food and good ambience, (also good coffee), Chico’s provides the best atmosphere for chilling and light hang out.

3. Subaidah – The only Mamak restaurant in USM, Subaidah has customers in queue as long as the queue at Deen Maju (the best Nasi Kandar in Penang), at peak hours every day.

4. Dataran Keusahawanan – Also known as Dataran Tekun, this is the place for you to soothe not-so-late night cravings, especially for students in RST.

5. Ayam Pecal Restu – Plenty of students, not only from Desasiswa Restu, often flood the café for their Ayam Pecal, either dine-in or take away. It is not surprising as it is a simple and cheap meal.

6. Piqapen Roti Impit – Grab Roti Impit (hotdog bun) for a quick filling snack before class, especially during interval between classes when you have insufficient time to have a proper meal.

7. BumbleDees – Offers a variety of western food for your tastebuds. Located inside a historical building dated 1938 and beautiful surrounding, the set up will bring you back to the old days of the campus.
