USM STUDENTS WIN BEST PAPER AWARD IN ICSPC 2016
USM, PENANG, 23 December 2016 - Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) hogged the limelight again when students from the USM School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering won the Best Paper Award in the 2016 IEEE Conference on Systems, Process and Control (ICSPC) held in Melaka recently.
Ting Feng Tan who graduated recently achieved the feat with his teammates consisting of Soo Siang Teoh, Jun Ee Fow and Kim Sam Yen.
Their paper entitled Embedded Human Detection System Based on Thermal and Infrared Sensors for Anti-Poaching Application was the outcome of Feng Tan’s final year project.
ICSPC provides an excellent platform for knowledge exchange between researchers in Automation & Robotics; System Identification; Modeling & Simulation; Process & Control; Intelligent Systems; Optimization of Systems; Nonlinear Systems; Digital Control; Advancements in Computation; Algorithms for Control; Optimal and Robust Control; Emerging Areas and Control Applications in Other Areas.
Being an international conference, it gave the participants from Malaysia and overseas the opportunity to share research findings, and establish network and collaborations.
This programme was organised by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Control Systems Society (CSS) Malaysia Section Chapter.
