MEHRAN NEJATI HONOURED BY PUBLONS, RECEIVES CERTIFIED SENTINELS OF SCIENCE AWARD 2016
PENANG, 3 October 2016 – A lecturer at the Graduate School of Business (GSB), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Dr. Mehran Nejati today received the Certified Sentinels of Science Award 2016 in being one of the top 10% of researchers contributing to the peer review in the field of Business, Management and Accounting by Publons.
The Sentinels of Science Awards honour the elite in contributing to scholarly peer review and editorial pursuits internationally and where the recipients have demonstrated an outstanding expertise and commitment towards protecting the integrity and accuracy of research published in their field.
According to Mehran, this award is for the recognition of peer-reviews for journals and he was selected to be among the Top 10% Reviewers globally in his field that is Business, Management and Accounting.
“I am well-pleased with my accomplishment and being recognised for my contributions to the academic community in facilitating the publication of high quality and impactful research.”
"I will continue in my peer-review contributions to the reputable academic journals which I have often been invited to review for and I believe as academicians, we have an important role to play to ensure establishing a decent peer-review system which is constructive, efficient, and high in integrity; thus I am happy to play a small part in achieving this target," said the Iranian lecturer.
Some of the supporters of this initiative include renowned publishers such as Wiley, Sage, Emerald, MDPI and Cambridge University Press among others, and Publons is joined by 80,000 other experts in showing their commitment for the betterment of science through peer review.
