USM, PENANG, 12 August 2016 - Candidates who have been offered a place to pursue their undergraduate degree in various programmes at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) have been asked to verify the acceptance or rejection of the offer the soonest possible.

This can be done via the USM website at https://pohon.usm.my. The deadline for the verification is 12.00 midnight on 14 August 2016.

Candidates who have received multiple offers from USM, Universiti Malaya (UM) and other public universities are advised to accept offer from only one University.

Successful applicants are advised to refer to the offer letter and guidebooks for new students that can be downloaded and printed from https://pohon.usm.my, for more information to prepare for their registration.

Candidates who fail to secure a place in the university can appeal through the varsity’s Aplikasi E-Rayuan, which is open from 8 August 2016 via the same website.

Only candidates who have applied and failed to get any offer from USM are allowed to appeal (selecting 2 programmes only) via the website https://pohon.usm.my within 7 days from Monday (8 August).

The appeal is only allowed for candidates who had attended an interview for the programme they applied, except for the engineering and arts programmes.

The deadline for the appeal is also on 14 August 2016 at midnight.

Those who have received an offer from any other public university cannot submit an appeal to USM.
