PENANG, 6 May 2016 - Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) through the School of Housing, Building and Planning (HBP) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Glodon Software Sdn. Bhd. on 28th April 2016 at Nexus Conexxion, Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur.

According to the Dean of School of HBP, Professor Dr. Aldrin Abdullah, the MoA is an initiative of the School to enhance its learning and teaching contents and strengthen its industrial networking.

“Both parties will collaborate to equip the School of HBP undergraduates with knowledge on Building Information Modelling to enhance their competitiveness in landing a job in the market place.

“Meanwhile, through the incorporation of the latest technology in teaching, course syllabus becomes more relevant and more practical in echoing market demands on talents and capabilities of future built environment professionals,” he said.

"Glodon Software Sdn Bhd’s role is to install and execute the software by giving training and certifying lecturers as GLODON Certified Trainer for TAS, TRB and TBQ.

“It will also conduct one session of 'GLODON-Student Meet Up' in every semester to allow the exchange of ideas and promote interaction between GLODON and undergraduates in getting the latest information on BIM or other technical knowledge," added Aldrin.

The Vice-President of Glodon International, Eddie Wen Hang together with Glodon Software Sdn. Bhd. General Manager Ethan Qiu Huilong were present to sign the MoA while Aldrin represented the USM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Omar Osman.
