GEORGE TOWN, PENANG, 25 February 2016 - Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) will be having the 53^rd Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, 30th April 2016.

As stated by the USM Registrar, Professor Dr. Abd Aziz bin Tajuddin, The USM Chancellor H.R.H./Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Ibni Al-Marhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail has given the consent on the abovementioned date for the Convocation Ceremony, to be held in two sessions, morning and evening.

“Approximately 1,000 graduands are expected to receive their degrees in the 53^rd Convocation Ceremony, mostly comprising of those at the postgraduate levels - the Doctorate (Ph.D) and Master’s degrees,” said Abd. Aziz.

This year, USM will also hold its 54^th Convocation Ceremony tentatively in November.
