HEALTH CAMPUS STUDENTS TO SIT FOR EXAM BEGINNING 5 JANUARY 2015
PENANG, 31 December 2014 - Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) today announced that the students at the Health Campus Kubang Kerian, Kelantan will sit for their semester exam beginning Monday, 5 January to Tuesday, 20 January 2015.
The exam originally scheduled to begin on Sunday, 28 December 2014 was postponed due to floods that ravaged Kelantan and several states in the East Coast.
According to the Senior Deputy Registrar of the Academic Management Division, Registry, Noriah Mohamad, all students at the Health Campus were urged to contact their respective schools to get more information about the revised exam schedule.
USM had last week made a decision to postpone the examination at the Health Campus as an act of concern as many of its students and staff were badly affected by the floods in Kelantan.
The move was also to enable better management of the flood situation (rescue and relief operations) especially those involving USM staff and students.
More than 1,000 students mainly from the School of Health Sciences and Medical Sciences postgraduates were due to sit for the forthcoming exams. Examination in the Main Campus and Engineering Campus began last Monday with USM giving permission to students who were affected by the floods to re-sit for the exam papers which they had missed earlier. - Translation: Tan Ewe Hoe/Text: Mohamad Abdullah
