USM WINS 3 GOLD MEDALS, 1 SPECIAL AWARD IN MTE 2013
The gold was won through the research product titled Toxiclaro: A Courseware to Support an Innovative and Integrated Teaching and Learning Toxicology in the Classroom produced by a group of researchers from the National Poison Centre led by Assoc. Prof. Maizurah Omar.
Two more gold medals came from the School of Materials and Mineral Resources Engineering researcher, Assoc. Prof. Srimala Sreekantan, through her product, SMARTCOAT: Remedy for VOCs, Bacteria and Fungi Growing Worldand Assoc. Prof. Aman Jantan from the School of Computer Sciences with his product, Email Forensic Tool for Cyber Investigation.
Moreover, USM also managed to bag eight silver medals and one bronze from the 13 products that were exhibited at the MTE, organised by the Malaysian Association of Research Scientist (MARS) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia (MOSTI).
