PENANG, 25 Feb 2013 – All alumni of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) has been cordially invited to attend the 17thAnnual General Meeting (AGM) of USM Alumni Association (PAUSM) and use the occasion to meet up with fellow alumni, this Saturday, 2 March 2013.

 The meeting will be held at the Dewan Persidangan Universiti (DPU), USM Penang, and is scheduled to start at 9.00 a.m.

 It is hoped that this meeting can serve as a platform for alumni to work together with USM for the future development of the university and to find ways on how they can collaborate to contribute to the society and nation more effectively.

 USM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Omar Osman is expected to officiate the opening of the AGM, themed Ramah Mesra Alumni Kita, and chair a special meeting with all the existing Alumni Associations Presidents in the afternoon on the same day.

 The present Alumni Association President is Dato’ Syed Jamal Syed Jaafar Shahab. He was appointed at the 15th Alumni Association AGM and began assuming the presidency in March 2011 for the PAUSM Executive Committee 2011/2013.
