USM TAKES A SERIOUS VIEW ON RATS PROBLEM IN USM HOSPITAL
PENANG, 8 October 2013 - USM takes a serious view of the rats and mice ‘invasion’ problem appeared on the front page of The Star newspaper today.
USM is well aware of this issue and is continuously striving to take the necessary steps to curb this problem, involving all parties, the hospital management, food premises operators in and outside the university campus and the public including visitors to take the necessary steps to overcome this problem.
It also requires concerted efforts and enforcement of the existing regulations and laws where applicable. USM will also involve all parties in the university including engaging the help from research experts in the related fields to assist in solving the problem.
The public is adviced not to worry or panic as the problem is under control.
