IMC: SUCCESS OF DEGREE PROGRAMME OFFERED IN KUALA LUMPUR

KUALA LUMPUR, 3 October 2013 – Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) campus community should be proud of the success of seven graduates in the pioneer Masters of Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) offered at its Kuala Lumpur branch campus.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and Development, Professor Dr. Adnan Hussein said that the graduates who have just received their scroll at USM 48th Convocation Ceremony recently became the benchmark for improvement and development of the programme.

He said that IMC is very unique among the programmes offered and the response was overwhelming.

“The programme is among USM’s successes in expanding its wings beyond Penang,” he said during an inspection visit on the progress of IMC programme at the campus recently.

Adnan is one of the individuals who helped the university in achieving its goal by establishing the programme in Kuala Lumpur.

Adnan added in his speech, there were many challenges faced by USM while establishing IMC but is glad that its objectives were achieved and is developing well.

“Personally, I am happy for the success of the School of Communication and hope that students will be able to focus in striving for excellence in their studies,” he said.

Adnan who was the former Dean for School of Communication attended the Graduate Studies Colloquium that saw the participation of nearly 100 students.
