PENANG, 18 February 2014 - A delegation from the Kyoto University of Foreign Studies (KUFS) paid a courtesy visit to Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dato' Dr. Omar Osman at his office this afternoon.

The KUFS delegation comprised Career Centre Dean, Professor Hiroaki Ikezaki; International Exchange Department Dean, Professor Toshiki Kumagai; and Public Relations Office Head, Takuya Yokoyama was led by KUFS Board Chairperson and Chancellor, Professor Yoshikazu Morita.

Towards the conclusion of the twenty-minute visit with the objective to strengthen ties between the two universities, the delegates and Omar exchanged gifts, and Yoshikazu extended a formal invitation to Omar to visit KUFS.

During their visit to USM, the KUFS delegation was hosted by the School of Languages, Literacies and Translation.

After the courtesy visit, the group proceeded to attend the scheduled Asia Pacific University-Community Engagement Network (APUCEN) meeting. - Text and Photo: Yong Check Yoon
