Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) cordially invites all its alumni in Malacca to a gathering with the aim to strengthen relationships with each other and to find ways to help each other in the future.

"Our desire is to see USM alumni come together, and together with the university play a more prominent and active role in helping the community and contribute to the society on a long term basis," said USM Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato' Dr. Omar Osman.

The gathering will be held on Sunday, 23 February 2014, at 2.30 pm at the Dewan UTeM 1, Bangunan Fakulti Teknologi Kejuruteraan, Kampus Industri, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, Hang Tuah Jaya, 75450 Ayer Keroh, Malacca.

According to Omar, the university has also invited the Malacca Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Ir. Hj. Idris bin Hj. Haron to attend the event and to foster strong relationships with alumni of the university.

"At the same time, USM plans to establish smart partnership with other public universities by hosting such events in the hope of forming strong synergy among all the relevant parties for national development," added Omar.
