Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) invites and welcomes all alumni to attend the 18th USM Alumni Association (PAUSM) Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, 22 March 2014, at 9:00 am at Anjung Budi, USM, Penang.

USM Alumni Liaison Office (ALO) Director, Mohamad Abdullah expressed his hope that the AGM meeting can serve as a platform for USM alumni to work together with the University as a team for the future development of the University and in serving the society and the nation.

He said ALO is playing an active role in strengthening ties between USM alumni with the university for the benefit of both parties through its year-long variety of programmes.

“We would strive hard to bring all the 130,000 USM Alumni together to be closer to the University and hope that more ideas can be contributed to improve the programmes developed,” he said.

USM Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Dr. Omar Osman is expected to officiate the programme, and will take some time off to get acquainted with the alumni who attended.

The current President of the Alumni Association, Mohamed Talhah Idrus, was appointed for the PAUSM Executive Committee post for 2013/2015 during the 17th PAUSM General Meeting session.

PAUSM will also open counters for members to join the Alumni Portal Gateway and also for the registration of new members at the same event.
