PENANG, 29 April 2026 – The Second Joint Committee Meeting between Malaysia and the Republic of Türkiye on Higher Education was further strengthened through a strategic industry visit to ViTrox College, Penang, on 28 April 2026.

The programme brought together approximately 300 students and 50 delegates through a meaningful platform that integrated academia and industry, in line with the shared aspiration of advancing innovation, talent development, and institutional collaboration between the two countries.

The programme commenced with a comprehensive briefing on ViTrox College, focusing on its industry-driven academic approach, study programmes that are aligned with current needs, and a progressive technology-oriented direction.

Delegates were subsequently taken on a tour of the college’s advanced facilities, showcasing a learning ecosystem grounded in real industry practices and highlighting the importance of experiential learning in producing competent graduates who are better prepared for future challenges.

At the same time, students participated in a strategically designed career talk session that provided exposure to the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential career pathways within high-value technology sectors.

The session served as an important platform for broadening students’ perspectives and enhancing their readiness to plan for their professional careers.

The Second Joint Committee Meeting between Malaysia and the Republic of Türkiye on Higher Education reflects a clear alignment of vision, where academic excellence is enriched through meaningful industry engagement.

“Initiatives such as these reinforce our shared commitment in developing a higher education ecosystem that is responsive, collaborative, and sustainable within a dynamic global environment,” said Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohamed.

He added, “This strategic visit to ViTrox College exemplifies a progressive approach that connects policy, academia, and industry within a cohesive and high-impact ecosystem.”

“This platform goes beyond mere exposure. It broadens perspectives, strengthens global understanding, and prepares students to navigate the innovation landscape with confidence and clarity.”
