PENANG, 24 April 2026 — The Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) School of Educational Studies (PPIP) has become the champion for the third time in a row, after winning the Universiti Sains Malaysia’s School Champion Cup (SCC) 2026 recently.

The win comes glorious after more than two weeks of play-offs and a final match defeating PPSK FC in a penalty shoot-out.

The winning team brings home not only the SCC Cup but also a RM2,000.00 cash prize.

In the closing ceremony, the USM Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato' Seri Ir. Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohamed congratulated the winners.

He said in his speech, “I want to congratulate our champions, our future teachers from the School of Educational Sciences, PPIP FC.”

The team manager of PPIP FC, Nik Mohammad Rozamzuri Raja Mahmood, expressed gratitude towards the players of the team.

“I want to thank the players for giving their 100% tonight and for trusting me as the manager of this team,” said Rozamzuri.

The runner-up, PPSK FC’s team manager, Anwar Mohamed Noor also shared encouraging words to the team.

“The match was great, although we lost on the penalty, the players played their very best and I am very proud of my team,” expressed Anwar.

Overall, the SCC 2026 not only showed good sportsmanship and skills of USM students, but also helped them in aspects regarding teamwork and camaraderie within a healthy sporting environment.
