The recording was conducted by personnel from the USM Centre for Instructional Technology and Multimedia (PTPM), and with the cooperation of USM religious officers, held at Masjid Al-Malik Khalid.

The programme is intended to strengthen the spirit of togetherness and further establish the sense of ‘familial’ relations among the campus community members, in addition to expressing religious and cultural values to welcome the upcoming ‘Aidilfitri’ celebrations.

The ‘Takbir Raya’ recording also symbolises the efforts of the university in maintaining a significant tradition in Islam, aside from fostering close relations between the top management and the campus community.

According to Director of Pusat Islam (Islamic Centre) USM, Ustaz Zayd Zhari who led the ‘Takbir Raya’ recitations, the recording not only upholds the teachings of Islam, but also serves as a medium to bring greater excitement towards ‘Ramadan’ and ‘Aidilfitri’ among the campus community.

The ‘Takbir Raya’ recording will be broadcast through the University’s media channels and platforms as Aidilfitri approaches, reflecting the spirit of togetherness and honouring a tradition that continues to be preserved at USM.
