M-RSPD is an interactive platform that allows users to self-assess crisis intensity and identify physical, emotional, cognitive, and behavioural symptoms.

Having the above objective, it enhances early psychological support through interactive, user-friendly technology.

By utilising the RSPD model, which stands for Rapport, Assessment, Support and Coping, the application helps users build psychological resilience through self-support resources, including relaxation videos and interactive sessions, while also serving as a training tool for trainee counsellors and educators.

Nurul Amirah Mohd Shokri, a representative for M-RSPD at the exhibition, shared that the reason behind the apps is the importance of emotional management and mental health.

“When someone goes through a crisis in their life, most people do not know how to handle such problems; M-RSPD can not only provide anonymous access to counsellors at any time for guidance but also evaluate the level of crisis the person is facing,” added Amirah.

Overall, M-RSPD exhibits the harmonious mix of technology and emotions alongside USM’s boundary-pushing innovation.
