NIBONG TEBAL, 16 August 2025 – Pipit Hutan (USM Engineering Campus) and Pekaka Udang (USM Specialist Hospital or HPUSM) contingents were declared joint overall champions of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Staff Day 2025, held at the Engineering Campus in Nibong Tebal today.

Both contingents shared the top spot after collecting 660 points each, edging out Merbah Surih (USM Main Campus) which finished third with 640 points.

Sambar Kuning (USM Health Campus) secured fourth place (540 points), while Pucung Harimau (Advanced Medical and Dental Institute or IPPT) settled in fifth (500 points).

 

The prizes were presented by USM Vice-Chancellor, Profesor Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohamed, during the closing highlight of the Malam Galau HWS 2025, where he also expressed appreciation for the continuous support from all campuses towards the biennial event.
