LGU RETREAT: PREPARING THE UNIVERSITY FOR THE FUTURE
PENANG, 31 May 2015 - Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is making all the necessary preparations to move forward and meet the challenges ahead with more effective strategies.
"When USM was given the responsibility to carry out the Accelerated Programme for Excellence (APEX) programme, there were high expectations from the government, the people and all the stakeholders that need to be met," said the Chairman of USM Board of Governors (LGU) Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Zulkefli A. Hassan.
He added that USM will have to look ahead, especially in preparing its graduates to face all the challenges and changes when they enter the ever-challenging working world.
He said this during a Special Dinner Ceremony to welcome the members of USM Board of Governors, USM senior officers, strategic thinkers, young thinkers and participants of LGU Retreat which will be held at the USM Main Campus tomorrow.
Zulkefli expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in generating ideas for USM to move forward, including the prominent strategic thinkers who came from overseas.
